PREFERRED MAGICK: Water Magick, Cleansing, Empathy, Boosting Positivity

STRENGTHS: While not a companion seeking a tasking home, Mallie is very versatile in the art of cheering someone up.  It's almost impossible to be negative around her, the giddiness she possesses infectious even on a dark day.  She is adept at sensing and interpreting what state her companion is in, often cleansing negativity from your area and leaving behind a bright, positive residual influence in your space.  She is a bringer of light and positivity, fighting against nihilism and self-depreciation.

PERSONALITY: It almost never seems like Mallie is capable of feeling negativity.  Her mentality often leans toward her seeming naive or childish, though she is just inherently peppy in all forms of stimuli.  She is playful and hyper, often splashing sources of water nearby to wake a bored or distant keeper.  She also gets on well with pranksters, and while she cannot prank anyone herself, she makes for a giggly distraction when someone is planning a surprise to cheer her keeper up.

APPEARANCE: She is a wonderful aquatic blend of fish and horse.  Her front half is equine, a dark blue-green color with wild kelp-colored mane.  Her eyes are the same dark green color.  Her fish tail starts shortly under her chest, the same blue-green color with a dark green fin at the end.  She is about the average size of an Earthen horse, small for her race.

Mallie, Female Hippocampus

  • Hippocampi go by many names (they like "Merhorse" the best), dating back to the Greek and Roman era. Their front halves are that of a horse, but their hindquarters turn into a fishtail instead of legs. They are able to travel through the depths of the sea and ocean at a fast pace and are fans of swimming races amongst themselves.

Their coloring tends to resemble the sea, from dark blues to bright blues and the tan of the sand. Occasionally, I have seen some with a greenish tint. They are high energy spirits and love to be around water. They like full sinks and bathtubs, though showers are fun for them too. They have a habit of knocking their keeper into pools or the water at the beach, and often don't realize their own strength.

They roam the seas, close to the shores to see and play with the humans there when they can. They ride the waves, knocking humans into the water playfully and chasing after other fish and sea creatures.

Their energy is so fun and enthusiastic that it's hard not to be influenced by them. On a really bad day, they can always help you find something to smile and laugh about. Personally, I think that's the biggest bonus to having them around.
